Job summary

Geocomp, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager experienced in geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring of heavy civil construction projects to join our team in New York, NY or Baltimore, MD.

This role involves the design of instrumentation and monitoring programs, monitoring of construction activities, data interpretation, report preparation, and client relationship management. Join a collaborative team focused on delivering best practices and innovative solutions for complex infrastructure

Qualifications

• MS in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical emphasis
• 7+ years consulting experience with 4+ years in instrumentation
• Experience with installation and monitoring of prisms, seismographs, inclinometers, data loggers, borehole equipment and related systems
• Experience preparing bids for general contractors and technical proposals
• Strong collaboration, time and people management, and client service
• Willingness to travel and spend time on project sites during critical project stages

Responsibilities

• Design instrumentation systems for projects
• Coordinate and support field installation of instrumentation equipment
• Evaluate monitoring data and system status
• Prepare instrumentation bids and technical proposals
• Manage project staff and field activities for installation and monitoring
• Prepare technical reports interpreting instrumentation data
• Promote health and safety practices across projects
• Build and maintain client relationships and meet project objectives
