Job summary

Dynamic Engineering is a nationwide multidisciplinary firm providing engineering, surveying, environmental, planning, and related services. The Engineering Technician will perform construction phase testing and inspections on ongoing projects, document field activities, and report to the supervisor daily.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction related field preferred
• 0–4 years’ experience in construction inspection field or laboratory testing
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to maintain and operate personal and/or company vehicle
• Must have hands-on experience with metric and English tools
• ACI concrete field-testing certificate, OSHA 40/10, and/or APNGA gauge training preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits, testing, and inspection services at construction job sites
• Conduct laboratory testing on soil samples (e.g., index properties, permeability, moisture-density relationships)
• Assist geotechnical engineers with site investigations (soil borings, test pits, permeability tests)
• Review project documents (site-civil, structural, architectural plans, geotechnical reports, surveys)
• Perform footing subgrade inspections and earthwork oversight
• Communicate effectively with contractors and project managers
• Maintain calibrated instruments and manage lab inventory
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed
• Complete additional duties as assigned
