Job summary

Dynamic Engineering Consultants, PC seeks an Engineering Technician to perform construction phase testing and inspections on ongoing projects. You will prepare accurate notes, SIRs, and daily emails under supervision, supporting geotechnical activities and document review.

Ideal candidates have 0–4 years of field or lab testing experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and a valid driver’s license. Strong communication and Microsoft Office proficiency are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction related field is preferred.
• 0–4 years’ experience in construction inspection field or laboratory testing.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate personal/company vehicle.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits, testing, and inspection services at construction job sites.
• Conduct laboratory testing on soil samples, including index properties, permeability, and moisture-density relationships.
• Assist geotechnical engineers with site investigations such as soil borings and test pits, field permeability tests, and related tasks.
• Review project documents including site-civil, structural, architectural plans, geotechnical reports, and topographic surveys.
• Perform footing subgrade inspections to review soils composition and bearing capacity and oversee earthwork.
• Communicate effectively with contractors and project managers; maintain/calibrate instruments and manage lab inventory.
