Job summary

Dynamic Engineering offers a Geotechnical Intern role providing hands-on field and laboratory experience across nationwide projects. You’ll assist with site testing, soil and concrete testing, and reporting under supervision, gaining exposure to multiple disciplines.

You’re pursuing a Civil Engineering degree with 0–2 years in geotechnical work; EIT or EIT-track is preferred. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are required, with mentorship and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or related field, with geotechnical relevance.
• 0–2 years’ experience in geotechnical engineering or related construction/site work.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or EIT-track preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to multiple sites.
• Strong written and oral communication; able to work independently and in teams.
• Proficient with MS Office software (Word/Excel/Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Conduct construction site testing, inspection and sampling.
• Perform concrete placement tests (slump, air content, temperature) and document results.
• Monitor soil compaction and fill placement; transport samples to lab.
• Conduct laboratory soil tests for permeability and compaction.
• Witness and document soil borings/test pits for geotechnical investigations.
• Prepare inspection and data reports; maintain communication with team.
• Travel between sites and offices; assist with equipment transfer.
• Contribute to other duties as assigned.
