Job summary

GeoEngineers is seeking a Staff Geotechnical Engineer to lead field exploration and observation on diverse projects in Spokane, WA, with responsibilities spanning report preparation and advanced analyses. The role emphasizes collaboration across teams and locations.

The candidate should have a Civil/Geotechnical Engineering degree (Master’s preferred), EIT certification, and relevant field experience. Willingness to travel and work in the field is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Master’s degree in Geotechnical or related field strongly preferred.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification required for Staff Engineers.
• One year of driving experience in the United States; international experience considered.
• Internship or prior experience in geotechnical engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Field exploration and observation of earthwork and foundation construction, on projects large and small.
• Prepare field reports and perform geotechnical analyses (slope stability, bearing capacity, settlement, deep foundation design, seismic evaluation).
• Assist with gathering field data and samples; coordinate samples for testing as needed.
• Support geotechnical teams at other locations as required.
