Job Description

General Responsibilities: Provide engineering and consulting services for a broad array of projects and clients. This includes performing and leading field investigations, engineering analysis, calculations, design and development of plans and specifications, observation and inspection, and report writing. Review drawings and construction for compliance, prepare proposals and cost estimates, track project progress, budgets, and recommend changes. Research and resolve design and construction issues. Evaluate laboratory or field data for reports. Communicate complex engineering issues effectively to clients and teams. Services may span sectors like public works, transportation, commercial, communications, energy, and industrial.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Follow safety rules, participate in pre-task planning, and report safety concerns.
2. Maintain quality standards in proposal and project delivery.
3. Support professional development through assigned tasks.
4. Assist in research, data collection, field observation, and testing; prepare related reports.
5. Evaluate routine laboratory and field data for reports.
6. Consult with technical team and supervisor on projects.
7. Perform basic calculations and engineering analysis.
8. Draft proposals and assist with complex proposal preparation.
9. Use CAD software for plan drafting.
10. Coordinate with technician crews for testing and data gathering, and document activities.
11. Work under supervision of a Professional Engineer.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.

Preferred Certification:

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI) designation.
