Job summary

Legacy Engineering, a woman-owned civil engineering firm headquartered in Fredericksburg, VA, seeks a Geotechnical/CMT Project Engineer to lead field investigations and prepare reports for a range of residential to commercial projects.

You will manage project communications, cost estimates, and plans, while ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction. Minimum 5+ years in geotechnical engineering with EIT certification is required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited university (required).
• EIT certification required; P.E. preferred.
• Experience with geotechnical engineering and CMT projects; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical projects and field investigations.
• Prepare geotechnical design recommendations and reports.
• Manage project cost estimates and plans; maintain client communication.
• Coordinate with team and clients; ensure safety and quality standards.
