Verdantas is seeking a Geotechnical Engineering Staff I to support subsurface investigations, geotechnical inspections, and construction projects across the New York and New Jersey tri-state area. This early-career role offers hands-on field experience and exposure to consulting environments.

Requirements include a Civil Engineering degree and 1–2 years in geotechnical work, with strong communication, soil sampling, and classification skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 1-2 years geotechnical field experience.
• Knowledge of soil sampling and classification methods.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform soil sampling and subsurface investigations.
• Classify soil conditions and maintain field records.
• Support geotechnical inspections, pile observations, and earthwork monitoring.
• Prepare boring logs, field reports, and project documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, drilling crews, technicians, and staff.
• Assist with technical reports, CAD drafting, and data management.
