Job summary

Secretariat is expanding its Global Engineering and Scientific consulting team, focusing on geotechnical and geo-structural engineering for heavy industries and infrastructure. The role reviews documentation, conducts analyses, performs calculations, and contributes to expert reports and client deliverables.

The ideal candidate holds MS in Civil Engineering with geotech concentration, 4+ years of experience, US PE eligibility, and strong communication. Ability to travel up to 15% is expected.

Qualifications

• MS in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Geotechnical or GeoStructural Engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to obtain a Professional Engineering license within the United States.
• Strong skills using MS Office Suite, AutoCAD/Civil3D, and BlueBeam/Adobe Pro.
• Experience with analytical software such as Geostudio Suite, Slide, Settle 3D, borehole logging software, Plaxis, CPeT-IT is a plus.
• Ability to travel as needed (generally under 15%).
• Attention to detail and the ability to clearly present findings.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Flexible, creative problem-solving skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship in the future.

Responsibilities

• Review technical and non-technical documentation to identify key issues.
• Gather and synthesize data from diverse sources to assist with claims evaluation.
• Perform engineering calculations (civil, geotechnical, and structural).
• Assist with subsurface explorations, condition assessments, and site visits.
• Assist in peer reviews of geotechnical/geostructural designs and construction processes.
• Collaborate in preparing expert reports, presentations, and client deliverables.
