Job summary

ASR International Corporation in the Puget Sound area of WA is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to provide design technical support for NAVFAC Northwest, focusing on foundations, retaining structures, and waterfront facilities. The role involves field and office work, reviewing geotechnical reports, and coordinating with structural engineers.

A Bachelor's in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering and at least six years of relevant experience are required, along with US citizenship and security screening.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of six (6) years of relevant design or design management experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with AutoCAD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform office and field consultation/monitoring of design and construction projects involving building foundations, retaining structures, utility structures, and waterfront structures (piers, dry docks, wharves, etc.).
• Review geotechnical reports, designs, calculations, and construction submittals for compliance with DoD UFC, IBC, ASCE 7, and project requirements.
• Provide technical recommendations on foundation systems, soil conditions, and related issues.
• Coordinate with structural, civil, and other discipline engineers.
• Prepare technical reports, observations, and recommendations.
• Support project status reporting and documentation.
