Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to analyze geotechnical data, classify rock cores, and design rock cuts. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, coordinate explorations, and prepare technical reports and presentations.

Requirements include 3+ years in consulting geotech work, P.G. licensure, and a valid driver's license. PE licensure is a strong plus; fieldwork may occur in remote locations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of consulting geotech experience, preferably KYTC/transportation projects.
• Professional Geologist (P.G.) is required; PE licensure is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record and field-vehicle access.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret geotechnical data, including rock cores and rock cut design.
• Conduct field surveys and interpret geophysical data; prepare reports and presentations.
• Coordinate explorations, manage timelines, budgets, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide direction on testing assignments and review results for accuracy.
• Perform foundation design, slope stability evaluations, and risk assessments.
• Train and mentor junior team members; participate in remote fieldwork as needed.
