Job summary

Geopros is seeking a junior geotechnical engineer to join our team in the US. You will manage site investigations, supervise field activities, and perform laboratory testing while preparing technical reports.

The role requires 1–3 years of geotechnical experience, a geotechnical-focused degree, and EIT/FE eligibility. Domestic and international travel is expected, with opportunities for growth and mentorship.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or master’s in mining, geological, or civil with a geotechnical focus.
• Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) or eligible for FE within a year.
• 1–3 years of geotechnical experience.
• Strong soil and rock mechanics understanding.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and technical writing skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork ability.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.
• Spanish and/or French language skills are a plus.
• Familiar with SLOPE/W, SEEP/W, RocScience suite, FLAC. Fähigkeiten.

Responsibilities

• Technically manage and direct geotechnical site investigations and supervise activities.
• Review and supervise civil/geotechnical construction activities.
• Conduct geotechnical analyses including slope stability, seepage and deformation.
• Work on rock mechanics like field mapping, logging, stability assessment, and reinforcement design.
• Plan instrumentation, supervise installations, and monitor results.
• Participate in multidisciplinary project teams and ensure deliverable quality.
• Collaborate with team members and clients on technical discussions.
• Contribute to proposals and business development.
• Travel to project sites within the U.S. and potentially internationally.
