Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer (PE) to join its Oklahoma team. The role covers field investigations, analyses, design, project management, and strong client relations on a variety of projects across Oklahoma.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree, a PE license (Oklahoma or ability to obtain), and 5+ years of geotechnical experience. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and agencies to deliver technically sound recommendations and successful project

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • PE license required; Oklahoma PE or ability to obtain preferred.
  • 5+ years of geotechnical engineering experience.
  • Experience with geotechnical investigations, foundation design, site preparation evaluations, drilling programs, and engineering analyses.
  • Knowledge of slope stability assessments, earthwork, and construction observations.
  • Strong communication, project management, and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct geotechnical field investigations and evaluate subsurface soil and rock conditions.
  • Perform engineering analyses related to shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures, slope stability, and site development.
  • Develop drilling and testing programs and interpret laboratory and field data.
  • Prepare geotechnical reports, recommendations, and technical documentation.
  • Provide construction-phase support and special inspections as required.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, invoicing, and overall project financial performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and local agencies.
  • Support business development initiatives and participate in industry events and professional organizations.
