Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants (CEC) in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer as part of our Spring 2027 program. You will work on geotechnical subsurface investigations, boring logs, and geotechnical reports for diverse clients across commercial, retail, energy, and industrial sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in Geotechnical preferred.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
• Previous internship experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and continue learning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical subsurface investigations for foundations, slopes, walls, landslide remediation, and pavements.
• Coordinate and monitor subsurface drilling and classify soil/rock samples; prepare boring logs.
• Develop laboratory testing programs and interpret data; perform analyses and prepare reports.
