Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Geotechnical/Section Geotechnical Engineer to support the Plymouth redevelopment project. The role emphasizes technical compliance, HSQE documentation, and supervision of geotechnical works on site.

Due to the sensitive site, BPSS clearance is required and may take up to 8 weeks. Eligible candidates must hold a NATO/MISWG passport and have UK residence in the last 5 years.

Qualifications

• Required – Experience in delivering geotechnical works, competence at management and supervision of project teams, documentation writing, communication skills both written and verbal at all levels.
• Preferred – RoGEP, Professional Membership, CSCS card, SMSTS, First Aid at Work, PTS

Responsibilities

• Maintain open lines of communication with the Geotechnical team regarding the progress of the project and relevant developments
• Writing and maintaining of HSQE documentation
• Supervision & management of the safe, efficient delivery of geotechnical works to an excellent technical standard
• Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the Client, the supply chain and third parties
• Maintain high levels of personal safety and environmental standards, implementing safe systems of work on site
• Accurate record keeping for site activities, and short term forecasting of resources on a project basis
• Awareness of project and business goals and able to relay these to the project team to increase workforce engagement with business
