Job summary

Resource Options, Inc. in the NYC area is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join its award-winning team. You will oversee field explorations, develop testing programs, and prepare reports with analyses of slope stability and deep foundation design.

Requirements include 4–10 years' experience, a Bachelor's in civil engineering, EIT, and NYS PE preferred. Travel to sites in the region is required; salary ranges from $95,000 to $165,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering; master’s in geotechnical is a plus.
• Engineer-In-Training certificate is required.
• NYS PE licensure preferred; other-state licensure acceptable with plan to obtain NYS licensure within 6–12 months.
• Willingness to travel to NYC, Long Island, Hudson Valley, CT and NJ.
• Experience with geotechnical software like AutoCAD/gINT/PLAXIS noted as plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide geotechnical oversight of explorations and logging.
• Develop laboratory and field testing programs.
• Prepare engineering reports with interpretations of field/lab results.
• Perform analyses for slope stability, settlement, and foundation design.
• Manage multiple projects; NYC experience is a plus.
• Support field inspections during construction.
