Three Notch Group in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer I to support the preparation of high‑quality, constructable engineering and design documents under the supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer. You will assist with technical plans, reports, design and construction documents, and field activities while developing proficiency and professional independence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental/Biosystems Engineering or related field.
• EIT certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D or related software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with client communication and attend meetings as needed.
• Prepare engineering plans, reports, and construction documents using CAD/software.
• Visit project sites to monitor progress and collect information.
• Support quality control and ensure accuracy of work.
• Read and interpret engineering documents, regulations, and design standards.
• Assist with preparation of specifications, plans, and cost estimates.
• Prepare design computations under supervision of a licensed PE.
