Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer I in Atlanta, GA to support plan preparation, site investigations, and data collection.

The role involves basic engineering analyses under supervision and contributing to design and drafting using AutoCAD and Civil 3D. The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree, 2–3 years in geotechnical work, and is working toward or can obtain an EIT within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant geotechnical experience.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Internship or co-op experience in civil engineering preferred.
• Exposure to MicroStation, HEC-RAS, or stormwater modeling tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and analyses under senior engineers.
• Support design and drafting efforts using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
• Conduct site visits, field inspections, and data collection as needed.
• Assist with permitting, regulatory compliance, and coordination with clients and agencies.
• Participate in internal project meetings and collaborate with other disciplines.
• Support project managers in project delivery, including budgeting and scheduling tasks.
