Job summary

Accura Engineering in Birmingham, AL invites a civil engineer to join our office. You will assist in preparing plans and reports, supporting design with AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and performing basic calculations under supervision.

Site visits, permitting support, and coordination with clients/agencies are part of the role. EIT orability to obtain within 12 months is preferred; 2–3 years of relevant experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience.
• EIT certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Internship or co-op experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Education/Experience:

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Internship or co-op experience in civil engineering preferred.
• Exposure to relevant software such as MicroStation, HEC-RAS, or stormwater modeling tools preferred
