Job summary

GFT is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Geotechnical team in Boston, MA, with a hybrid work model requiring office presence. The role leads geotechnical analyses and subsurface explorations for transportation, facilities, and water resources projects, while helping grow our MA geotechnical capabilities and team.

Ideal candidates will have 10–15 years in geotechnical design and reporting, a Massachusetts P.E.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10–15 years geotechnical experience with design and reporting.
• MassDOT and other agency design/document experience desired.
• Experience in slope stability, foundations, and retaining structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical analyses and design for foundations, retaining structures, slope stabilization.
• Plan subsurface explorations and laboratory testing investigations.
• Prepare reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Develop proposals and participate in business development.
• Assist in client relationship management and new opportunities.
