Job summary

Accura Engineering & Consulting Services, Inc. in Columbia, SC, is seeking a civil engineering professional to assist with plans, specifications, and reports. You will perform basic calculations and support drafting using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Expect site visits and data collection as part of ongoing projects. The role requires 1–5 years of geotechnical-related experience, a Civil Engineering degree, and EIT certification or the ability to obtain within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 1–5 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Internship or co-op in civil engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
• Perform basic engineering calculations under guidance of senior engineers.
• Support design and drafting using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Conduct site visits, field inspections, and data collection.
• Assist with permitting, regulatory compliance, and client coordination.
• Participate in internal project meetings and collaboration with disciplines.
• Support project managers in delivery, budgeting, and scheduling tasks.
