Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to assist with plans, analyses, site visits, and coordination with agencies in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The candidate should have a Civil Engineering degree, 2–3 years geotechnical experience, EIT or ability to obtain within 12 months, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office; internship experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 2–3 years of geotechnical engineering experience
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Internship or co-op experience in civil engineering preferred
• Exposure to MicroStation, HEC-RAS, or stormwater modeling tools preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and reports
• Perform basic engineering calculations and analyses under the guidance of senior engineers
• Support design and drafting efforts using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D
• Conduct site visits, field inspections, and data collection as needed
• Assist with permitting, regulatory compliance, and coordination with clients and agencies
• Participate in internal project meetings and collaborate with other disciplines
• Support project managers in project delivery, including budgeting and scheduling tasks
