Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in a hands-on role focused on site investigations, design support, and report preparation.

Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering background with 2–3 years of geotechnical experience, EIT, and familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D. You will work with senior engineers on projects, perform analyses, and assist with permitting and client coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Internship or co-op experience preferred.
• Exposure to MicroStation, HEC-RAS, or stormwater modeling tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and analyses under guidance of senior engineers.
• Support design and drafting with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
• Conduct site visits, field inspections, and data collection as needed.
• Assist with permitting, regulatory compliance, and agency coordination.
• Participate in internal project meetings and collaborate with other disciplines.
• Support project managers in budgeting and scheduling tasks.
