Job summary

Accura Engineering & Consulting Services, Inc in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Civil Engineer with a Bachelor's degree and 2–3 years of geotechnical experience to assist in preparing engineering plans, specifications and reports. You will perform basic calculations under supervision, support design using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, conduct site visits, coordinate permitting, and collaborate with project teams.

EIT certification or plans to obtain within 12 months is required; MS Office and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of geotechnical engineering experience or related.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Internship or co-op experience in civil engineering preferred.
• Exposure to MicroStation, HEC-RAS, or stormwater modeling tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and analyses under supervision.
• Support design and drafting efforts using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
• Conduct site visits, field inspections, and data collection as needed.
• Assist with permitting, regulatory compliance, and coordination with clients and agencies.
• Participate in internal project meetings and collaborate with other disciplines.
• Support project managers in project delivery, including budgeting and scheduling tasks.
