Job summary

NV5, Inc. is seeking a Staff Geotechnical Engineer in Irvine, California. This hybrid role involves planning and conducting subsurface exploration and engineering analysis while working under the supervision of senior staff.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of field experience, relevant degrees, and strong communication skills. The pay range for this position is between $80,000 and $105,000 per year, complemented by a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; a Master's is a plus.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification desired.
• Minimum 3 years of geotechnical Field Engineer construction experience required.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers with planning and executing projects.
• Conduct supervision and review of field technicians' work.
• Manage subsurface explorations including sampling and logging.
