Job summary

CTL Engineering is hiring a Geotechnical Engineer (EIT or PE) to perform geotechnical explorations and investigations for clients. You will deliver customized geotechnical studies, reports, and solutions from concept to final execution.

This role involves collaboration with institutions/municipal agencies, Architects, Engineers, Developers, and project teams, guiding projects through land profile evaluation and ensuring seamless integration and optimal results.

Qualifications

• 0-4+ years of experience in consulting engineering on civil projects.
• EIT credentialing is a strong plus, but the ability to get EIT and PE is required (ABET accredited degree).

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical explorations, site characterizations, and risk evaluation on developments.
• Training and supervision of lab technicians, maintenance of quality reviews and certifications, management of equipment inventory and calibration, client marketing and proposal preparation.
• Ability to work independently on broad projects with oversight by the Service Line Manager.
• Providing direction on a project-to-project basis – e.g. preparing lab testing assignments, reviewing documents, and testing results for content and accuracy.
• Preparing geotechnical engineering reports.
• Reviewing soils laboratory test results.
• Assisting in planning and the execution of subsurface investigation programs - including understanding project design plans, locating test borings at project sites, coordinating underground utility clearance.
• Monitoring and enforcing quality control standards and specifications.
