Endurance Mining is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer for Abra Mine Site in Western Australia. The role supports safe, day-to-day expansion of underground infrastructure with strong rock mechanics focus.

The ideal candidate has 2 years of geotechnical experience, knowledge of WA mining regulations, and familiarity with Deswik, Dips, and Unwedge. FIFO 7/7 ex Perth or DIDO ex Meekatharra offered, with competitive remuneration.

• Monitor QAQC systems and assist with paste strength and cement content recommendations

Endurance’s Abra Mine is located approximately 220km north of Meekatharra, in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia. The underground mine represents one of the world’s cleanest and largest lead-silver projects.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Mining team at Abra Mine Site. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will apply your rock mechanics and geotechnical knowledge to support the safe, day-to-day expansion of our underground mine infrastructure and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support geotechnical data collection, program planning and ground stability design review
• Help ensure geotechnical design requirements are addressed at extraction plan, stope note and development design stages
• Conduct regular underground inspections, checking ground support standards and reporting hazards
• Schedule ground support audits and collect and interpret geotechnical data from mapping, core logging and site inspections
• Monitor QAQC systems and assist with paste strength and cement content recommendations

What You’ll Bring

• 2 years’ hands‑on experience in geotechnical engineering, ideally within an underground mining environment
• Working knowledge of the WA Mining Act, Regulations and WHS Act
• Familiarity with mining software such as Deswik, Dips and Unwedge is an advantage
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• A proactive, adaptable approach and willingness to develop your skills in a growing team

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering or Science with a Geotechnical specialisation
• Current ‘C’ Class Western Australian driver’s licence
• 2 years’ relevant industry experience
