With a strong commitment to excellence, innovation, and client satisfaction, we deliver comprehensive solutions for infrastructure projects across the U.S. Our collaborative culture, technical expertise, and passion for improving communities drive our success.Job SummaryThe Geotechnical Engineer will join our team in Virginia Beach, VA to support various heavy civil construction and transportation projects throughout the Southeast. We currently perform deep foundation testing and geotechnical engineering services on bridge and pier projects, large heavy civil construction projects, port expansions, and on military bases throughout Hampton Roads and Virginia. The Geotechnical Engineer will work under the guidance of the Senior Geotechnical Engineer and will be responsible for conducting geotechnical analyses and designs for infrastructure projects such as roadways, bridges, retaining walls, soils, asphalt, pavement, and rock slopes. They will develop and perform subsurface investigation and laboratory testing plans and review boring logs and laboratory data. The engineer will contribute to the design plans for a variety of geotechnical projects, including slope stability, foundation design, seismic analysis, and other geotechnical considerations. Job duties also include structural design using relevant design specifications and compliance with state and local requirements. Responsibilities
