Job summary

Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates, Inc. in Woodbine, MD is seeking Geotechnical Drillers to operate drill rigs and collect soil samples, including Hollow Stem Auger, Shelby Tube, and rock coring.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate geotechnical drill rigs and use Hollow Stem Auger, casing advance drilling, mud rotary drilling.
• Take samples (Split Spoon, Shelby Tube) and perform rock coring as needed.
• Produce daily boring logs and reports.
• Maintain and clean equipment; ensure safety standards on site.
• Coordinate with site leadership to meet project scope and schedule.

Your Role

• Hillis-Carnes Specialty Construction Group is actively seeking Geotechnical Drillers for our Woodbine, MD office. The ideal candidate should have an in-depth understanding of the geotechnical drill rig operations and drilling techniques. Need to be reliable, motivated, possess a positive attitude, and have a good work ethic. Experience with Hollow Stem Auger and Casing Advance Drilling, Mud Rotary Drilling, Split Spoon and Shelby Tube Sampling, and Rock Coring.

Benefits

• Salary range is between $24 and $34/Hour and will be negotiated based on experience.
