Job summary

GeoEngineers Inc in Spokane, WA seeks a Driller to support geotechnical subsurface investigations. The role operates CME-75 rigs, handles samples, and guides junior crew members in safe drilling practices.

Applicants should have 2+ years in drilling or similar labor, a high school diploma, and the ability to travel up to 70% as needed. A valid driver’s license and license prep/obtainment within a year are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2+ years of related experience such as drilling, construction, or heavy manual labor.
• Experience with geotechnical drilling methods (hollow-stem auger, SPT, piezometer) preferred.
• Ability to interpret and apply technical information and instructions.
• Ability to work under varied environmental conditions and safety requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with deadlines.
• Demonstrated planning and organization skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain TWIC or CDL if required.
• Washington/Idaho/Oregon well driller licenses preferred; ability to obtain within one year.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains drilling equipment including CME-75 truck mounted rigs, collecting samples.
• Directs junior drilling crew members, ensuring safe task execution.
• Assists in setup, takedown, and transport of drilling rigs and equipment for highway rigs.
• Cleans drill area and maintains safety in the exploration shop.
• Handles drilling tools, pipe, cement, bentonite and related materials.
• Manipulates auger sections, pipe, or drill stem during drilling.
• Maintains and repairs drilling equipment as needed.
• Transports materials and well service gear.
• Performs shop/warehouse duties like maintenance and welding support.
