Job summary

ICOP is seeking an experienced geotechnical engineer to support excavation, ground improvement, and foundation design in Florida. The role combines design work with field observations and collaboration with operations and sales teams.

The candidate should have a BS in Civil Engineering with geotechnical focus, at least 5 years of related experience, and a PE license or be licensed within one year. Strong writing and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in Support of Excavation design.
• PE license or expected within one year.
• Strong technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary designs of support of excavation, ground improvement, and geotechnical systems.
• Provide feedback on feasibility of ground improvement and excavation/structural design solutions.
• Prepare drawings and calculations for construction of excavation support and ground improvement.
• Conduct field observations of construction where appropriate.
• Collaborate with engineers, clients, and consultants.
