Job summary

Eustis Engineering LLC is seeking a detail-oriented CAD/Geotechnical Technician to turn field and engineering data into clear, accurate deliverables for infrastructure, coastal, transportation, water, and private-development projects.

You will prepare boring logs, subsurface profiles, site plans, figures, and report exhibits while maintaining CAD standards and collaborating with engineers, geologists, and project managers to resolve data discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical certificate, or equivalent training in drafting, civil engineering technology, CAD, or related field.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD; Civil 3D preferred.
• Working knowledge with Bentley MicroStation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, survey data, and markups.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and PDF markup tools.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and quality control.
• Clear written and verbal communication and ability to collaborate across disciplines.
• Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines, asking questions when information is incomplete.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise CAD drawings, site plans, boring location plans, subsurface profiles and report figures.
• Create and maintain geotechnical boring logs and exploration records.
• Compile laboratory and field data for reports, proposals, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with engineers, geologists, field personnel, lab staff, and project managers.
• Apply drafting standards, file-naming conventions, templates, and document-control procedures.
• Perform self-checks for dimensions, elevations, labels, references, scales, and consistency.
• Incorporate review comments and maintain orderly project files and drawing records.
• Assist with PDF markups, document assembly, scanning, plotting, and other technical tasks.
• Support improvement of CAD standards, templates, and production workflows.
