Job summary

UES in Georgia is seeking an Engineering Intern to support projects across geotechnical, environmental, and materials testing disciplines. You will gain hands-on experience in field investigations, lab testing, data analysis, and technical reporting under supervision.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and learning, with opportunities to assist with site inspections, sample preparation, drafting technical documents, and exposure to AutoCAD, GIS, and engineering software.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
• Completion of at least two years of coursework preferred.
• Strong academic foundation in engineering principles, with interest in applied fieldwork and testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with field inspections, site assessments, and data collection.
• Perform laboratory testing and assist in preparing samples for analysis.
• Support in drafting technical reports, calculations, and documentation.
• Participate in construction materials testing, including soils, concrete, asphalt, and steel, under supervision.
• Assist with geotechnical investigations, including logging of soil borings and monitoring well installations.
• Conduct research and gather background information for project design and analysis.
• Maintain accurate project records, logs, and documentation.
• Comply with all UES safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide general support to project teams as needed.
