Job summary

Schnabel is seeking a Project Engineer to support geostructural construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. You will work with project managers, foremen, estimators, and clients to ensure successful project delivery in a hands-on role that blends engineering know-how with field coordination.

Typical work includes piles, lagging, walers, tiebacks, and braces; underpinning, grouting, tunneling, and other structural support may arise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, and drawings.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans, define scope, timelines, and allocate resources.
• Manage project costs, track expenses, and ensure budget adherence.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents to plan and execute projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field crews for daily operations.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Provide field engineering support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct on-site safety audits.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
