Job summary

GeoEngineers is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Construction Design Group in Seattle, WA, Redmond, WA, or Tacoma, WA. You will deliver engineering solutions for temporary works and design-build projects, including excavation support systems, cofferdams, access trestles, and deep foundations, working with contractors and design-build partners to produce constructible designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university; Master’s degree in Geotechnical or Structural Engineering preferred.
• 3+ years of related professional experience
• PE license required
• Experience with geotechnical and structural design software such as MathCAD, RISA, Tedds, Civil 3D, Plaxis, CLiq, CPeT-IT, SHAFT, APile, or GeoStudio Suite; familiarity with SNAIL, DeepEX, Slope/W, L-Pile, Group, and MSEW+ preferred
• Experience with driven pile, drilled shaft or small-diameter pile/anchor testing
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design of geo-structural solutions including excavation support, ground improvement, retaining walls, work staging plans, access trestles, driven piles, micropiles, and other deep foundations.
• Develop project drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit.
• Coordinate design and resolve technical issues with project teams and clients.
• Support project management tasks including budget planning, field report reviews, and client meetings.
• Lead or coordinate field observation of explorations and construction activities.
• Assist in business development and marketing activities.
