Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a Geostructural Group Leader in the Richmond, VA area to lead and grow the geostructural engineering service line. You will drive strategic planning, oversee technical delivery, and manage client engagement while ensuring revenue growth and service expansion.

The role requires senior leadership, advanced PM/business development skills, and a strong background in geostructural systems.

Qualifications

• 10 years of related experience as an engineering consultant/designer in geostructural or geotechnical fields.
• Promotion to ECS Associate Principal or Principal within 6 months of hire is possible.
• BS in Civil Engineering or related multi-disciplinary field as listed.
• Valid driver’s license if driving for ECS or subsidiaries.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced PM, consulting, and business development abilities.
• Expert knowledge of geostructural systems including ground improvement, retaining walls, SOE, underpinning and dewatering, deep foundations.

Responsibilities

• Leads and grows the geostructural service line through strategy and delivery.
• Oversees project execution, design, calculations, and reporting.
• Develops and maintains client relationships and opportunities.
• Manages staffing, workload, and team performance.
• Ensures QMS compliance and company standards.
• Reviews deliverables, budgets, and project financials.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
