Job summary

Planet is seeking a Data Visualization role to transform geospatial data into compelling visuals for external audiences. You will join the Data Visualization Team within Marketing, collaborating with web developers and designers to bring imagery to life.

You will leverage Python, GIS tools, and AI‑enabled workflows to iterate rapidly, ensuring accurate representation of Planet’s imagery and datasets for customer-facing content.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in geospatial or remote sensing roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.
• Strong ability to explain complex tech to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Tell stories that showcase Planet data applications using imagery and datasets.
• Collaborate with Marketing to create graphics that educate customers.
• Provide technical feedback on marketing content to ensure accurate data representation.
• Prepare imagery for external distribution with press and analysts on tight deadlines.
• Promote best practices for data visualization across the org.
