Planet Labs PBC is seeking a Data Visualization specialist to transform Planet’s imagery into compelling graphics and stories for external distribution. You will sit in the Marketing Creative Group and work with web developers and designers to leverage datasets and new technologies.

You will collaborate with marketing to understand audiences, provide technical input on content, and ensure accurate representation of data. This hybrid SF role emphasizes rapid iteration and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 4+ years experience in geospatial/remotely sensed data roles.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Experience communicating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of remote sensing data use cases.

Responsibilities

• Tell stories using Planet data and imagery with complementary datasets.
• Create graphics for content educating customers on Planet data needs.
• Provide technical feedback on marketing content to ensure accurate data representation.
• Collaborate to share imagery with press, think tanks, and analysts under deadlines.
• Promote best practices for data visualization within the organization.
