Job summary

Burgess & Niple is seeking a Geospatial Transportation Analyst to transform complex geospatial data into clear insights for infrastructure and environmental projects. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, planners, and data scientists to collect, analyze, and visualize geospatial data that supports transportation planning and environmental outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s preferred.
• 3–5 years geospatial experience; or 2–4 years with a Master’s.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, R, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform descriptive, exploratory, and applied data analysis to summarize trends, develop metrics, and prepare outputs for reports, presentations, and decision-making
• Collect, clean, validate, and document datasets from a variety of sources, including data quality checks
• Develop dashboards, maps, charts, and other decision-support tools that communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences
• Document data sources, assumptions, QA/QC processes, and analytical methods, and support repeatable workflows, templates, and basic automation
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, planners, and data scientists to support project delivery
