Job summary

T-Rex Solutions is seeking a fully cleared Test Engineer Level 1 to support critical national security infrastructure at Ft. Meade, MD.

You will design test strategies for geospatial apps, develop automated scripts, and perform manual and performance testing while collaborating closely with developers to ensure quality releases. The role requires TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly, 2 years of relevant experience, a CS/engineering degree or equivalent, and strong Python skills.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with FULL SCOPE Polygraph
• Two years’ experience in programs of similar scope and complexity
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or 4 years equivalent experience
• Ability to lead/mentor junior Test Engineers
• Strong proficiency in Python for automated test solutions and CI/CD integration

Responsibilities

• Test Planning and Strategy: develop test strategies, plans, and test cases for geospatial apps and Java microservices
• Test Automation: design and maintain automated test scripts for regression testing
• Manual Testing: verify complex geospatial analysis and visualization features
• Regression Testing: identify defects and ensure resolution before release
• Performance Testing: evaluate Java microservices and geospatial apps
• Documentation: create comprehensive test documentation and reports
• Collaboration: work with development teams to ensure quality testing practices
• Issue Reporting: identify, report, and track defects with JIRA or similar
• Continuous Improvement: contribute to testing best practices and stay updated on trends
