Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Test Engineer to join our DevOps team, focusing on geospatial applications and Java microservices. You will develop test strategies, build automated frameworks, and perform hands-on testing to ensure performance and quality across the software stack.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 0–2 years of software testing experience, with knowledge of Python for automation and Agile methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• 0–2 years of software testing or quality assurance experience.
• Knowledge of test planning, test case development, defect tracking, regression testing, and validation of functional requirements.
• Experience with Python scripting for test automation, data validation, or process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test strategies for geospatial applications and Java microservices.
• Build and maintain automated test frameworks for regression testing.
• Perform hands-on testing of geospatial analysis and visualization capabilities.
• Identify, track, and help resolve software defects.
• Conduct performance testing to optimize application and microservice performance.
• Collaborate with developers to champion quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvement through testing best practices and emerging technologies.
