Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Test Engineer to shape the quality of geospatial applications and Java microservices. You will join our DevOps team to ensure performance, reliability, and automated testing across the stack.

You will develop test strategies, build frameworks, and perform hands-on testing while collaborating with developers and embracing agile practices. The role offers flexible work aspects and opportunities to grow with cutting‑edge tech.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• 0–2 years of software testing or quality assurance experience.
• Knowledge of test planning, test case development, defect tracking, regression testing, and validation of functional requirements.
• Experience with Python scripting for test automation, data validation, or process improvement.
• Willingness to learn and develop automated testing solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills in an Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban).
• Experience with automated testing tools/frameworks such as PyTest, Selenium, Playwright.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and testing tools (Postman, Swagger, REST Assured).
• Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps tools (Git, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Understanding of Agile development practices and Linux/Unix basics.
• Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• SQL and data validation concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test strategies for geospatial applications and Java microservices.
• Build and maintain automated test frameworks for regression testing.
• Hands‑on testing of geospatial analysis and visualization capabilities.
• Identify, track, and help resolve software defects.
• Conduct performance testing to optimize application and microservice performance.
• Collaborate with developers to champion quality throughout the lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvement through testing best practices and emerging tech.
