Job summary

WGI is seeking a Geospatial Technician I for our Tallahassee, FL office. The role involves contributing to the development and distribution of geospatial data products, including vector datasets, aerial imagery, and LiDAR, within a collaborative team environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and up to two years of related GIS/remote sensing experience, with strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of increasing technical knowledge in GIS, LiDAR, photogrammetry, remote sensing, or surveying is preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
• Candidates should be able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct workflow processes with GIS, CAD, and remote sensing technologies.
• Assist with field collection and pre-processing of imagery; digitizing vector features; LiDAR classification and feature extraction; and project reporting.
