Job summary

MJ Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Land Surveying, P.C. is seeking a GIS technician to join our geospatial team. You will contribute to infrastructure mapping, data collection, 3D modeling, and app development.

The role emphasizes GIS mapping, data management, and collaboration with senior staff in a fast-paced environment. A candidate with 2 years of GIS coursework and 1–3 years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Fundamental principles and technical skills in GIS mapping and data management including database setup, data development and QA/QC, and map creation.
• Proficiency with the Esri GIS software platform for desktop and web including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
• Setup and utilization of web GIS / GPS field data collection using ArcGIS Online and Esri Field Maps.
• General office software such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Google Earth, etc.

Responsibilities

• Entry- to mid-level member of a geospatial group specializing in infrastructure mapping and terrestrial LiDAR, including data collection, 3D modeling, mapping, and app development.
• Collaborate with team using GIS, CAD, and programming software to complete mapping and GIS projects.
