HNTB is seeking a geospatial systems engineer to design and implement scalable GIS architectures in Nashville. You will collaborate with clients to define requirements, build APIs, and integrate advanced GIS technologies with enterprise data platforms and visualization tools.
You will mentor juniors, optimize data workflows, and apply AI/ML and cloud capabilities to real-time geospatial services. A strong background in ArcGIS/QGIS and programming is required.
Competenze
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Programming, Planning, Environmental Sciences, or related field and 2 years of related experience
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Programming, Planning, Environmental Sciences, or related field and 1 years of related experience
- In lieu of education, 6 years of relevant experience

- Designs and implements geospatial systems using ArcGIS, QGIS, and cloud-native tools.
- Develops APIs and microservices for spatial data access and integration.
- Applies spatial analysis and modeling techniques to solve business problems.
- Mentors junior developers and contributes to technical documentation.
- Optimizes geospatial solutions for performance and scalability.
- Integrates GIS with enterprise data platforms and visualization tools.
