Job summary
Amentum in Merrifield, VA is seeking a Product Manager to oversee GEODS product development from conception to deployment, guiding Scrum teams through requirements, backlog, and roadmaps for ongoing data services.
The role requires a proven track record as a Product Owner or PM, experience with SAFe, and strong communication to coordinate with government stakeholders. The position is on-site with a focus on high security programs (TS/SCI).
Qualifications
- Ability to clearly communicate complex technical challenges verbally and in writing.
- Experience supervising developers/engineers delivering software interfaces.
- Experience as Product Owner or Product Manager.
- Experience with SAFe or similar Agile methodologies.
- Understanding OAuth, ABAC, Zero Trust concepts.
- Familiarity with imagery data types (raster, vector, etc.).
Responsibilities
- Prioritize backlog for one or more Scrum teams in Jira.
- Assist teams in developing user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Review and accept completed work against criteria.
- Ensure focus on high-value priorities and avoid scope creep.
- Collaborate with government to bring efforts through requirements.
- Assist Chief Architect/Chief Engineer in Roadmap development.
- Oversee projects, monitor progress, and address issues with the Scrum Master.
- Provide leadership visibility with reporting (CDRLs, KPIs, etc.).
