Job summary

GeoSearch is seeking a Geospatial Analyst with 2-3 years of experience specializing in LiDAR data processing for electrical utility applications. The role focuses on transmission and distribution corridor data, using MicroStation and PLS-CADD to support engineering and asset management workflows.

Responsibilities include processing and classifying LiDAR data, extracting utility features, developing geospatial deliverables, and collaborating with engineers and project managers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geospatial Science, GIS, Surveying, or related field.
  • 2–3 years of geospatial analysis or LiDAR processing experience.
  • Experience working with LiDAR datasets and software.
  • Proficiency with MicroStation and PLS-CADD.

Responsibilities

  • Process LiDAR data for electric transmission and distribution projects.
  • Extract utility features such as conductors, poles, towers, and vegetation encroachment.
  • Develop geospatial deliverables using MicroStation and PLS-CADD.
  • Prepare data for line design and engineering analysis.
  • Perform QA/QC on LiDAR datasets and mapping products.
  • Create planimetric and 3D mapping deliverables.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and analysts.
  • Maintain organized project files and adhere to standards.
