Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking a Geospatial Analyst with 2-3 years of experience specializing in LiDAR data processing and extraction for electrical utility applications. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience working with transmission and distribution corridor data, utilizing MicroStation and PLS‑CADD to support engineering and asset management workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process, classify, and analyze LiDAR point cloud data for electric transmission and distribution projects
  • Extract utility features such as conductors, poles, towers, and vegetation encroachment
  • Develop geospatial deliverables using MicroStation and PLS‑CADD
  • Support engineering modeling workflows by preparing data for line design and analysis
  • Perform QA/QC on LiDAR‑derived datasets and mapping products
  • Generate planimetric and 3D mapping deliverables
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and analysts
  • Maintain organized project files and adhere to standards
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Geospatial Science, GIS, Surveying, or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in geospatial analysis or LiDAR processing
  • Experience working with LiDAR datasets
  • Proficiency with MicroStation and PLS‑CADD
  • Strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting electrical utilities (transmission/distribution)
  • Familiarity with vegetation management workflows
  • Experience with TerraScan, ArcGIS, or similar tools
  • Basic scripting knowledge (Python, VBA)
