Job summary

PotomacWave is seeking a Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Departmental Requirements Officer to support a Federal client in Washington, DC. The role centers on planning and coordinating integrated GEOINT collection strategies, using national and theater assets to address nuclear and energy related targets worldwide.

You will write and review collection requirements, provide expert management across a diverse IC team, and help evaluate tools and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Eight+ years in GEOINT collection management/analysis at tactical, strategic, or national level.
  • Strong technical background in GEOINT tasking, collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination requirements.
  • Experience with GEOINT Information Management Services (GIMS) and proficiency in GEOINT NTM and commercial collection systems.
  • Knowledge of theater and national intelligence collection platforms and ISR integration strategies.
  • Knowledge of advanced collection planning concepts, rules, and coalition processes.
  • Knowledge of IC GEOINT capabilities and sensor/platform strengths/weaknesses.
  • Ability to provide hands-on instruction to federal analysts on GEOINT products and tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; polygraph condition may apply; active clearance desired.

  • Monitor current intelligence on specified targets.

Job description

PotomacWave is looking for a Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Departmental Requirements Officer (DRO) to join our team supporting a Federal client in Washington, DC. The individual supporting this position shall provide GEOINT national technical means and commercial collection requirement systems expertise and support. The individual shall be responsible for assisting in the planning, organizing of integrated, GEOINT collection strategies using complex, coherent, and systematic intelligence collection campaigns employing national, and theater assets against nuclear and energy-related targets world-wide.

Responsibilities
  • Write, review, and submit GEOINT collection requirements in support of single and all source IN analysts
  • Provide expert GEOINT collection management and requirements analysis on assigned target areas.
  • Develop and present intelligence collection management strategies and approaches.
  • Work effectively as a member of a diverse team, accepting and giving effective feedback, and collaborating with other collection managers across the Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Coordinate client GEOINT requirements within the GEOINT Requirements Subcommittee structure.
  • Participate in reviews and assessments of current intelligence tools, processes, tactics, techniques, and procedures.
  • Use GEOINT databases and query tools to develop reports.
  • Populate and update national and local GEOINT databases and web pages.
  • Conduct strategic collection planning and assessments of the effectiveness of GEOINT collection.
  • Write, review, and submit GEOINT collection requirements.
  • Monitors current intelligence of specified targets.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in GEOINT collection management and/or analysis and production at the tactical, strategic, or national level required.
  • A strong technical background and understanding of GEOINT tasking, collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in GEOINT intelligence collection requirement management environment to include training and expert knowledge of the GEOINT Information Management Services (GIMS) and proficiency in a wide array of GEOINT NTM and commercial collection requirement systems.
  • Knowledge of theater, and national intelligence collection platforms and ISR integration strategies; and knowledge of theater and national intelligence requirements processes.
  • Knowledge of, and skill in applying advanced technical collection planning concepts, principles, practices, laws, regulations, methods, and techniques to include domestic imagery and coalition partner processes, rules, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of IC GEOINT capabilities and accesses, strengths, and weaknesses of specific technical sensors/platforms sources in the area of GEOINT.
  • Ability to provide general hands-on instruction to federal analysts on a wide variety of GEOINT products, systems, and tool sets.
  • Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in a related discipline.
  • The selection of an individual for this position may be conditioned upon his or her successful completion of a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
  • Must have an active TSclearance or DOE Q

Salary range $80,000 - $115,000
