Job summary

Arora Engineers, Inc. is seeking a GIS Analyst to develop and maintain geographic data and GIS solutions for airports and government clients. The candidate will work with the GIS team and manage time with limited supervision.

The role requires a bachelor’s in GIS or related field and at least 3 years of GIS experience, with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online proficiency. Independence and self-motivation are valued traits for this position.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Geospatial Science, Engineering, or related field.
3 years of professional GIS experience preferred.
Experience using Esri ArcGIS products, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
Experience creating, editing, managing, and analyzing spatial data, maps, and geodatabases.

Responsibilities

Produces and maintains geographic data and graphics for GIS projects.
Develops and manages scripts for data analysis and systems integration.
Reviews the adequacy and quality of GIS data and makes recommendations for improvements.
Develops GIS databases following GIS standards.
Produces metadata.
Performs basic data maintenance to correct data issues.
Compiles and updates mapping/cartographic data for land use, elevation, and feature relationships.
Produces maps.
Collects, validates, and processes GPS data.
Develops dashboards of geospatial data for projects.
Participates in ongoing training and career development.
Stays current with GIS software trends.
